Hello Parents, Familes, and Friends,
2008 is here! I hope that you had a relaxing and enjoyable winter break. With our return to school, 2008 has brought some changes. Our schedule has been changed a little to allow for more time dedicated to writing and to allow adequate time for reading, small groups, and centers. The 3rd marking period will also be without weekly spelling packets. We will complete all spelling work in class each week. I have posted the changes under the ”Class Schedule” page, and I have posted our new Special Schedule under its’ appropriate heading.
I will be holding conferences next week on a “need to see” basis. If a form was sent home with your child, please return it ASAP so that we can schedule a time that works best for you. If you did not receive a form, but would like a conference either send in a note, email me, or call. I’d be happy to meet with anyone.
Hope your 2008 is off to a wonderful start!

A couple of reminders for the week:
On Wednesday night, students will have a quickwrite for science to prepare them for their Human Body Test on Thursday. Please review terms like bones, joints, muscles, reaction time, stimuli, and response with your child.
On Friday, October 26, the PTA will host a Fall Festival for students and their families. A flyer went home, with details, last week. I look forward to seeing everyone there!
